Wishing my fellow Indians a very happy 75th Independence day. India got independence from British East Indian company after the struggle of around 90 years (1857 to 1947). The british colonialism started in India during the early 17th and 18th centuries. Maveeran Alagumuthu kone from thoothukudi district was an early person who rebel against the British presence in India during 1710 to 1757.But he was defeated in the battle against British and Marudhanayagam's forces. Marudhanayagam also later rebel against British during late 1750s and 1760s. Titumir was a Bengali leader who built a large Bamboo Fort to restrict British but British forces stormed the fort. Other freedom fighters like Tipu Sultan, Hyder Ali fight with British. Pazhasi Raja from Malabar also fight against British along with tribal people. Finally in August 15 1947 India got Independence.
