Happy 75th Indian Independence day 2022! Today, India celebrates its 75th Independence Day (August 15). People all throughout the country honour the heroic souls who gave their lives to preserve this country's independence. The nation as a whole celebrates the day with considerable fervour. India gained its independence from British rule on August 15, 1947. From 1757 until 1857, the British East India Company administered India, which came under British sovereignty in 1858 and remained so until 1947.
The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav event is being celebrated by the Indian government in honour of the nation's 75th anniversary of independence.
In this post we are going to see some important and incredible facts of India.
1. The tricolored Indian National flag is first hoisted in August 1906 in Kolkata.
2. Indian National anthem adopted in 1950. India has no recognised national anthem prior to gaining independence. Rabindranath Tagore wrote the song "Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata" in 1911. The Indian Constituent Assembly renamed this song "Jan Gan Man" and declared it to be the country's national anthem on January 24, 1950.
3. India and Pakistan border: Sir Cyril Radcliffe, a British lawyer, marked the Radcliffe Line, often known as the border between India and Pakistan, on August 3, 1947. Only on August 17, 1947, two days after India gained its independence from the British, was it formally published.
4. Wettest place on earth:
Due to its location near the Bay of Bengal, a town in Meghalaya that receives 11,873 millimetres of rain annually holds the Guinness World Record for the most average annual rainfall. The six-month monsoon season in this area is prepared for throughout the winter months.
5. Village with no doors to houses:
Due to a 300-year-old legend, this village in Maharashtra draws over 40,000 devotees every day. It has buildings without doors or locks. Because they consider Lord Shani to be the town's protector, the citizens of this town sleep peacefully.
