**Amit:** Hey Shahul, did you catch the T20 World Cup opening game on Saturday? The USA vs Canada match?
**Shahul:** Yeah, I did! What a match it was! Aaron Jones was just unbelievable, wasn't he?
**Amit:** Absolutely! Jones struck an explosive unbeaten 94 from just 40 balls. He single-handedly led the USA to victory with that performance.
**Shahul:** And what's even more interesting is that Jones was born in New York but raised in Barbados. He really bludgeoned the Canadian attack with ten sixes!
**Amit:** The turning point was his 131-run partnership with Andries Gous for the third wicket. Jones completely changed the momentum of the game in that partnership.
**Shahul:** I agree. Especially in the 13th over when he took on the Canada captain, Saad Bin Zafar, who bowls slow left-arm. Jones smashed three sixes in that over alone!
**Amit:** And then Jeremy Gordon's over - what a disaster for Canada! His medium-fast seamers went for 33 runs in one over. That included three wides and two no-balls. One of those no-balls even canceled out a potential dismissal of Gous.
**Shahul:** Gous was brilliant too. He made 65 off 46 balls before he holed out to deep midwicket off Nikhil Dutta. That partnership took the Americans from a struggling 42-2 in the seventh over to 173-3 in the 16th over.
**Amit:** Corey Anderson, the former New Zealand all-rounder, came in after Gous. But it was Jones who fittingly ended the contest with his 10th six of the night.
**Shahul:** It was indeed the perfect start to the tournament for the co-hosts. The crowd at Grand Prairie Stadium was roaring with delight as Jones smashed the Canadian attack all around the ground.
**Amit:** What a way to kick off the T20 World Cup! This match will be remembered for a long time, especially Jones' stunning performance.
