Sultan Qaboos Palace in Muscat

Muscat - Capital of Oman located in the north east of Oman. The Tropic of cancer passes through it in the south region of it. You may wonder that this city has some siblings. Yes it has two cities nearby which has grown together. the cities are Muscat, Matrah, Ruwi.We can see many volcanic rocks around muscat area. It really eye-catching to see the muscat city at night times. Many gulf countries are having strong trade benefits and as their major business.

The city begins with the Muscat Gate and it shows the traditional layout of a gate in kingdom era. Al Jalali Fort is the oldest prison in the city. Yes it was used as a prison in 15th century when Portuguese ruled muscat. But it has now converted into museums. Muscat City Center is the biggest shopping mall in the city. Sultan Qaboos Palace in Muscat, Said bin Sultan is the person who has re-established the military powers of muscat in early 19th centuries. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the third largest mosque in the world. It is also open to non Muslim people. They can visit this mosque from 8am to 11am everyday except Friday. The palace is located near to the grand mosque bring us the creativity of the past empires who ruled the place.
