Meiktila is a city in the central Myanmar, Burma. This city is located in the banks of the lake Meiktila. It holds it own natural beauty, having a lake at the center. There is an Air Force base is situated in the Meiktila. The name Meiktila is derived from the Indian city called Mithila ( Indian Kingdom). Buddhism is the religion across Myanmar, Burma. Myanmar Aerospace university is one of the famous & top university in Myanmar, which is located in the Meiktila city. This city is in the upper part of the Burma. Lake Meiktila is the lake that is situated in the Meiktila city. It is 7 miles (11 km long), Mone-Dai Dam supplies the major water resource to this lake. It has the artifical irrigation & reservoir facility. The history remains us the Battle of Meiktila till now. It was founded by Bagan King Anawrahta.
