The Jem of the Indian Crown is an inspiring factor for Indian youth. Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born to a Tamil Muslim family on October 15, 1931, in the Rameswaram pilgrimage center on Pamban Island, which was then part of the Madras Presidency and is now in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Even though Kalam's ancestors had been prosperous Marakayar traders, by the 1920s the family had lost much of its money and was living in abject poverty when Kalam was born. Although Kalam's grades in school were just average, teachers praised him for being a bright, diligent student with a strong desire to learn. He worked on his studies for hours, particularly the arithmetic. Kalam attended Saint Joseph's College in Tiruchirappalli, which was then associated with the University of Madras, after completing his education at the Schwartz Higher Secondary School in Ramanathapuram. He received his physics degree from Saint Joseph's College in 1954. He decided to relocate to Madras in 1955 to attend the Madras Institute of Technology to study aerospace engineering.
the president of the people. the Indian missile specialist. a key pillar of Pokhran-2. visionary from the bottom up. The eleventh president of India and the multifaceted APJ Abdul Kalam is not entirely defined by the honors.
In his book India 2020, Kalam fervently supports a development strategy to make India a powerful country by the year 2020. He sees his country as a superpower in knowledge and a developed nation. The book discusses the situation in India and industrialized nations both now and in the future. It contrasts various statistics data and outlines improvements India can make. The significance of science and technology for India's development is discussed by Kalam.
Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas: To combat the economic upheaval, our economic development strategy must be shrewd enough to stimulate agricultural and rural economic development. Only the creation of 7,000 PURA complexes covering 600,000 communities will make this possible.
In accordance with PURA, connectivity must be established on all three levels: physically (through roads), electronically (by ICT), and conceptually (enhancing core competence of villages). Economic connectedness (employment potential) will improve if these three connectivity are offered. Fortunately, working PURAs can be found across the nation.
He was once asked by a journalist if he wanted to be remembered as a scientist, a president, or a teacher. Teaching is a very noble vocation that moulds a person's character, aptitude, and future, according to Dr. Kalam. It would be the greatest honour for me if people remembered me as a good instructor he said.
